Bachelor Season 21 Episode 3: Whipped Cream, Naps, and Bouncy Houses

You guys, I really really hope in my heart that next week is the last week we have to deal with Corinne on the Bachelor. I really can't deal with it anymore. I am so ready for her to go home! Somehow I both loath her and want to hug her at the same time. If you don't feel this way then you must not have watched last week, so let me catch you up. If you need catching up ever further back go here to read up on the first couple of episodes.

This episode picked up with the cocktail party, where Nick explained to all the girls how he had hooked up with Liz at Jade and Tanner's wedding, and tells them to feel free to ask him any questions they may have. Many of them do, and don't seem to be upset with him. I'm just happy I don't have to hear any more about this topic, because I'm seriously bored of it. But now that the Liz story has been put to bed, we get to focus completely on the Corinne show.....

It is really hard to watch this girl. She decides it's a great idea to put on a trench coat with nothing but lingerie underneath for her one-on-one time with Nick, and brings whipped cream. Oy. She gets Nick to lick the whipped cream off of her (with all the other girls watching), but after that he puts the brakes on the whole thing, and she cannot handle it. She starts crying because she feels stupid and can't believe he wasn't into it, and goes upstairs goes to bed. Y'all- she seriously goes to bed. Like, snoring and everything.

Rose ceremony time, and Nick notices Corinne isn't there. Because she WENT TO BED. Has anyone ever missed a rose ceremony because they needed a nap? As far as I remember this has never happened on the Bachelor. Guess she thought since she already had a rose she didn't need to show up. Danielle M. and Christen also already had roses from their dates. Nick hands out the rest to Astrid, Taylor, Whitney, Kristina, Danielle L., Rachel, Vanessa, Raven, Jaimi, Dominique, Sarah, Alexis, Brittany, Josephine, and Jasmine, which leaves Lacey, Elizabeth, and Hailey roseless and sent home.

The next morning Chris Harrison makes an appearance with a date card (and some subtle shade for Corinne). It's addressed to Danielle L., Christen, Kristina, Whitney, Taylor, Jasmine, and Corinne, and says "Everybody". Then the Backstreet Boys show up and all the girls totally freak out. Personally, I'm more of an N'Sync girl, but whatever.

For the date the girls meet Nick at a studio where they will be rehearsing to be background dancers in the BSB concert that night. Before we get into the date, I feel the need to mention here that I do not approve of men in tank tops. Please stop this- it is not a good look. Ever. Nick happens to be a repeat offender, and I'm starting to think it's time for an intervention. Someone please buy the boy a shirt with sleeves!

Anyway, whoever does the best job dancing and has the best chemistry with Nick wins, and the prize is being serenaded on stage by the Backstreet Boys. Corinne wastes no time making this day all about her, and starts whining crying and hiding in the corner because she's not a good dancer. Get over it kiddo.

Jasmine is of course great at this date because she's a cheerleader, but Danielle L. also killed it, and ends up winning. She and Nick slow dance on stage while all the other girls watch, and Corinne's face when they kiss is priceless.

After the concert on the cocktail portion of the date Corinne predictably grabs Nick first for one-on-one time, and I'm worried that her dress got ripped somehow because the slit is so high I can practically see her belly button. She apologizes for sleeping through the last rose ceremony, and Nick doesn't care, because her dress is so short, and they make out. Afterward Corinne goes off to take a nap on a couch. That sentence sounds like a joke, but sadly it is not. It really was naptime again. Apparently it was a short nap though, because a little bit later she's back and telling the girls how she misses her nanny Raquel. Jasmine's reaction to the fact that this 24 year old woman/child has a nanny is EVERYTHING.
I can't get enough of it. Also, Danielle L. gets the date rose.

Back at the mansion the next date card arrives and it's for Vanessa (my pick to win!). It says "You make me feel like I'm floating."They go on a zero gravity date in a plane, which sounds super cool. They float around for a while and it really does look fun, except I find myself again wondering why Vanessa does not have a hair tie? Her hair does look pretty awesome as she's flipping around though, I'll give her that. But after a while she starts feeling nauseous, and ends up getting sick. I'm sure she would have appreciated a hair tie in that situation. Just saying. This would actually be my worst fear. I've been married for over 12 years, and I still will not allow my husband anywhere near me if I'm throwing up. Nick was really sweet about it though, and said he like taking care of her. But then he KISSED her you guys- after she just vomited multiple time. Not OK! I noticed she was chewing gum, but unless you have brushed and flossed and Listerined that is not going to fly with me.

That evening they go to the top of the tallest building in L.A., and I thought they really seemed to have a connection. He actually seemed engaged and interested, and were those real tears I saw him crying? I'm not sure, but the night was definitely an improvement for me from him. I thought it was a good date, and she's still my front runner.

The next group date arrives at the house and it is for Rachel, Alexis, Astrid, Jaimi, Sarah, Brittany, and Dominique. It says "I'm done playing the field", and they immediately know it's something sports related. It ends up being a track and field date, with three Olympians that I sort of recognize, but can't remember now, which I feel really bad about, because all Olympians are amazing. The girls participate in a series of events, and the top three winners then race to see who gets one on one time with Nick. Astrid (and her boobs), Rachel, and Alexis race, and whoever grabs the giant fake engagement ring first get to jump in the hot tub with Nick.  Rachel wins, but as she tries to grab the ring she drops it and it shatters, giving Astrid the chance to swoop in and grab whatever piece she can and win. Well played Astrid. Nick toasts to her "kind of winning".

Dominique is not loving this date. She feels really insecure and thinks that Nick is totally blowing her off. That evening she ends up crying, and the dramatics are a little much. Maybe you're not cut out for this show? When she gets her one on one time with Nick she ends up calling him out for not reading her mind and noticing something was wrong. She tells him he hasn't given her a fair chance and he sends her packing. Probably a good move, because she was way too paranoid. I am kind of obsessed with her lashes though. Rachel gets the date rose, which I think is great. They had a great conversation and I like them together.

We get to see more of Chris Harrison when he comes to the mansion to tell the ladies that instead of a cocktail party there will be a pool party. Everyone is excited and having a ball once Nick shows up, except for Corinne who is still upstairs primping. Apparently she has a plan though, and that plan involves a pink castle bouncy house and bikini bottoms that look like she's wearing a full diaper (did anyone else notice that?). They bounce around for a while, and then she totally straddles him while all the other girls watch, and it's super weird. After they're done putting on a show for everyone, guess where Corinne goes? If you guessed to take a nap you would be correct! Again, sounds like a joke, but it is indeed what actually happened. I cannot handle this girl anymore, and the rest of the girls on the show obviously feel the same. Many of them decide to talk to Nick about it. Raven tells him the news that Corinne has a nanny, and Taylor and Jasmine also mention that the girl is bad news. Nick barely reacts though, and I'm back to thinking he's not serious about this at all.

Vanessa is the last one to confront him, and she may be the only one to have a shot at getting through to him. She questions his intentions and asks him if he actually looking for a wife, or just someone to mess around with.....

And that is the note we are left on this week. I'm dying to see if Nick will actually listen to some of these girls on Corinne, but something tells me he won't see past the boobs and whipped cream. Guess we'll see this coming Monday!

What are you're thoughts on Corinne? Will Nick send her home next week? Will she sleep through the next rose ceremony again?

Two Bachelorettes! What?

So, there's going to be TWO Bachelorette's next season? Huh? I don't understand, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this.

It's not secret that this season on the Bachelor I have been solidly Team Kaitlyn all the way. I love her. So hilarious, and I was totally rooting for her to be the next Bachelorette, because I think she would be so entertaining. It's also no secret that I did not love Britt. I don't dislike her, I just don't love her. Loved her lipstick though, did I mention that? You can read about that here. But I just didn't find her to be as genuine as most of the other girls. So I'm totally torn on my feelings on the Bachelorette casting announcement on After the Final Rose.

Is anyone clear on how exactly this is going to work? Will the guys pick between the two girls on night one, and one lady will go home? Or will they both get to stick around and hand out roses the whole time? Or something in between? I need to know these things Chris Harrison and ABC! You're killing me!
What do you think about having two Bachelorette's? Are you Team Kaitlyn or Team Britt?

Bachelor Finale, Finally!

I'm always late with these posts, so by now everyone knows how the Bachelor ended this season, with Chris proposing to Whitney. And let's face it, no one was a bit surprised by this. We all saw it coming from a mile away. She's head over heels crazy about him, and he's just happy someone agreed to move to Arlington. I'm happy for them. They actually seem really happy and I feel like there's a chance they'll make it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for them. The proposal was sweet. I'm rooting for these two!

Before I get to recapping the finale, let's see if I was accurate in my predictions from night one......

My first impression of Carly was not good, and I ended up really liking her. I was right on with Britt. Early frontrunner that would make it pretty far, but not final four. I figured Kaitlyn would make it far, but not as far as she did. Apparently I also liked someone named Tracey. Anyone remember her, because I don't.....Two of my final four predictions were correct. Jade and Becca. The hubs had Megan on that list. Bummer she went home when she did. She was a hoot! Guess who else I picked! Go ahead, guess! Kelsey! Oh my gosh, how off was I? Yikes! She had me fooled y'all! That scares me a little bit. Actually, a lot. She scares me. Anyway, I did not mention Whitney at all after night one. So overall, I did not pick well. Better luck next season I suppose. You can check out my original post here. Moving on!

The final episode began with Whitney going to meet Chris' family. She totally nailed it. First of all, his family is great. I love them, and it looks like Whitney will fit right in. She's not shy about telling everyone who will listen how in love she is whit Farmer Chris. Tears were even shed. She is all in at you guys. The fam is totally won over, but is Chris at this point? It was a little strange that during Whitney's time with his family he talked about Becca on more than one occasion. His dad and brother in law totally noticed, too. Everyone can tell that she's the one he really wants.

Becca gets her turn to meet the fam day next, and Whitney was a tough act to follow considering how much they adored her. I thought Becca handled herself so well though. I particularly loved her convo with Chris' mom. She was so completely honest about her feelings, and the fact that she's not totally ready to leave everything behind. Once she know she's in love she'll be in 100%, but she's not there yet.

After family time, each girl gets here final one on one date with Chris, and Becca goes first. They just hang out in the hotel room and talk, but it's a conversation that needed to happen. Chris was super confused on where they stood, and frankly, Becca was too. I really felt for both of them. He wanted so bad for her to tell him she was in love with him and ready to move to Arlington to start a family with him, but she couldn't do it. I want to mention that Becca may be one of my new favorite Bachelor contestants. I'm guessing everyone that watches this show has a ton of respect for this girl. I mean, props to her for being smart and practical, and realistic about the situation. She's only known this guy for how long? Of course she's not ready to pack up her life to move for him, especially when she's not even sure she loves him. Chris seemed totally shocked by this by the way. Like, he just couldn't understand how she wasn't nuts for him. I felt bad for Chris watching the episode though. It was so obvious that Becca was the one he really wanted. Not that I don't think he can be happy with Whitney, but I feel like Becca will always be the one that got away.

Whitney's date is next. They go to the farm to harvest corn, and she really looks like she's having a blast and loving it. I think these two are a good match! Again, that night she tells Chris how strong her feelings are for him, and how much she loves him and wants to start a life on the farm with him. She's a sure thing. Becca's a risk.

Rose ceremony time! We all knew Becca wasn't going to get the final rose, but her reaction to being rejected was kind of priceless. Did anyone else see complete relief on her face? No tears, in fact, they smiled and laughed together. Best breakup ever. I think Becca dodged an Arlington bullet. Pretty uneventful.

Whitney was so confident this whole time, but once she got to the barn she looked a little shaky and uncertain. No, wait, she's just FREAKING FREEZING! I was cold just watching them! Yikes! Chris can finally admit that he's in love with Whitney and he sweetly proposes. Of course she says yes, and they're super cute together, so I hope it lasts.

All in all, a pretty uneventful finale. No surprises, not a lot of drama, just kind of...eh. I did enjoy it though. I always do. Do you think Chris chose the right girl?

Bachelor Update: Better Late Than Never!

I love this season of the Bachelor y'all! I've been so busy lately (you can check out one reason why here), so I haven't been posting weekly this season, but you know I'm always watching! Now we're down to the final three and so close to the end. So here's my take on the last few weeks.

I was sad that Carly went home, but not at all surprised. She seems totally real to me, and made me laugh. But she and Chris were never going to leave the friend zone. I was SOOO ready for Britt to leave! Thank goodness Chris finally saw her true colors and gave her the boot. She was totally insincere, and it's no wonder all the girls saw right through her. Why is it so hard for guys to see what we see?
Britt is not impressed, and Chris is over it.
Since it's been a while since I've done a Bachelor post, I can't not mention the epic Ashley/Kelsey  smack down in the desert two on one date. Holy moly.
The bitch face in this picture. Wow.
You guys. I. Can't. Even. This was one of my favorite Bachelor moments EVER. Like, EVER. I loved this so much. These two could not be more different, and it was amazing to watch this happen. It really made me so happy. And thank you Chris for sending both of these ladies home. Even though for entertainment value, I do miss them on the show.

Anyway, back to this week's episode. We're down to the final three, and you know what that means....Fantasy Suites! It was the week of overnight dates, which always make for good TV. Chris's first date was with Kaitlyn.

They hang out with some crazy monkeys, then have a pretty uneventful dinner. The most interesting part of the date was Chris telling Kaitlyn he was falling in love with her. Wait, what? Can he do that? I don't remember a Bachelor ever telling a girl that on the show before. I guess Chris really is breaking all the rules this season!

Whitney's date is next, and again, it's pretty uneventful. Except that she tells him she's totally OK with leaving behind an amazing career in a very big city to move to Arlington and pop out babies. Match made in heaven. They're in love, and we all know he's picking her, right?

On to Becca's date. She's super worried about telling Chris that she's a virgin, but considering it's fantasy suite week, now's the time! Of course, he was totally OK with it, they love each other, same old same old. Or is it? She doesn't actually tell Chris she's in love with him, because she's never been in love before and doesn't exactly know how that feels. But she thinks she might be. This apparently threw poor Chris for a loop. A girl isn't ready to marry you and move to the middle of nowhere away from her family after dating for a few weeks on national television? She must be crazy, right? Props to Becca for being a little more cautious and moving a little more slowly.

At the rose ceremony no one wears booty shorts, (Seriously, somebody needs to buy these girls some bigger pants! All three of them this episode needed one of Jillian's black censor bars across their backsides. I don't need to see your booty ladies!), and Chris is obviously still confused, even after chatting with Chris Harrison, so he pulls Becca aside to talk.

This is where everyone thought that Chris was going to send her home and Whitney and Kaitlyn would be the final two. Apparently, Kaitlyn thought so as well! Poor girl was totally blindsided when Chris returned WITH Becca, and Kaitlyn was the one he sent packing. I felt so bad for her. She's been my favorite this season. But on the bright side, can she please be the next Bachelorette? Because that would be AH-mazing! She's hilarious!

Team Kaitlyn!

So, my take on the situation is this. I think at this point in the game Chris has the strongest feeling for Becca, but isn't sure she feels as strongly about him. Or that she's ready to commit to marriage and moving to small town Iowa. With Whitney he knows she's ready and all in, so she's a safer bet. Just my opinion.

In conclusion, Chris will pick Whitney because Becca isn't ready to commit, and I vote Kaitlyn for the next Bachelorette. Also, next week is The Women Tell All - my FAVORITE! And is is sure to be a doozy this season! That is all!

Bachelor Premiere: My Predictions

The new season of the Bachelor is upon us! I love this time of year! I did enjoy Andi's season of the Bachelorette, but I'm excited for this season of the Bachelor, partly because we all still need to stop talking about Juan Pablo, but also, Chris is adorable, so here's hoping for some entertaining Monday evenings to come! I'm not going to recap the entire episode, but I do have a few thoughts to share, and then I'll give you my predictions.

First off, I need to mention Chris Harrison's interview with Nikki during the red carpet portion of the premiere. Cringeworthy. It was actually quite painful to watch. I guess he had some time to fill and needed to stretch things out, but Oh. My. Gosh. How many times can you ask the same question, and how many different ways can she answer? Give the girl a break! I'm sure she's so over talking about Juan Pablo, and this was just so ridiculous. Stop it. Moving on though.....

The limo arrivals weren't actually as bad as I've seen in the past. The cruise ship singer was awful, and the fake heart in a cooler was gross, but I liked the note from students that Tracy read, and Britt was cute. The dresses this season y'all were atrocious! So so bad. Like really. Ew. I hope these girls step up their game on the fashion front in the coming episodes!

So, on to the girls. One of my favorites of the night was Tara, obviously. The drunk girl on night one is always the best, and she was hilarious. It's also hilarious that she still got a rose. Of course she wasn't the only crazy in the bunch. Amanda's eyes were freaking me out. But let's talk about the onion girl. I don't even remember her name, but holy cow. What was that? I don't know if she was drunk, or acting, or just totally weird, but she got a rose too! And I am totally looking forward to more cookoo from her this season!

I have a couple of front runners to mention, and I've got to throw in the hubs predictions as well, because y'all, he's never wrong! Yes, I make him watch with me, but he secretly likes it. :) Britt is an obvious choice. She's drop dead gorgeous, and she got the first impression rose. I don't think she's top four though. Chris and Jade seem to have chemistry too. The hubs thinks Megan is a sleeper and will make it to the end. I hope Kaityln sticks around for a long time, because she is too funny, and my number one favorite from last night. So here are our predictions for top four:

Becca
My choice for Chris's final pick.
Kelsey
We both like her for the final four
Jade
We both thought it looked like she had chemistry with Chris.
Megan
Hubbies pick.

Jade, Kelsey, Megan, and Becca, with Britt and Kaitlyn close behind. Oh wait, I forgot about Tracy! Honorable mention to her as well!

Britt

Kaitlyn

Tracy

I'm not very good at picking the winner, but Eric is, so we'll see how we do this season! Hopefully Chris finds a good girl. He seems like a sweet, genuine guy. Can't wait to see what drama unfolds this season!

Tell me your favorite moments from last night's premiere and your picks for Chris's final four!

xo,
Summer

Bachelor Finale.....Adios Juan Pabs!

I have never been excited for a TV show to come to an end, but this season of the Bachelor was actually painful to watch. I started off being excited Juan Pablo was the new Bachelor, and excited to do these recaps every week, as I had never done that before. But writing these posts has gotten kind of tedious. Juan Pablo has definitely overstayed his welcome on my television screen. And instead of going out on a high note and making us almost forget how totally awful this season was, he did the complete opposite and displayed his worst behavior to date, making us seriously dislike him, if we didn't already. Here's my take on last night's finale. Thank goodness it's over.

So Clare and Nikki each get their meet the family moment, and it seemed to go about the same for them both. They pretty much were told to run. As fast as they can. Even Juan Pablo's family doesn't really like him all that much it turns out. Or maybe they just know he's not really on this show for the right reasons, and neither of these girls is going to end up with him in the long run. JP's mom actually says that he can be rude, and Clare doesn't get scared off by that. No, she licks her lips and says she loves that about him. Then JP's cousin asks Nikki how much fighting she can handle, because Juan Pablo can be difficult, and she seems to think that's sweet, and I am so confused. What in the world is wrong with these girls? Open your eyes ladies! This dude's own family is trying to warn you that your boyfriend is bad news, and you're like, "Aw, how cute!". I mean really. These are some serious red flags ladies!

Next is the final one on one dates, and Clare goes first. While they're on their helicopter ride he apparently whispers something to her that is totally disrespectful. She is completely shocked, because it was something sexual. She seems really upset, and I feel really bad for her. And also, this is the most real I've seen her all season. Anyway, I don't blame her for being upset. Telling a girl you don't know her at all, but you loved "hooking up" with her is not cool. And by now we all know he didn't say "hooking up", but I'm not going to repeat what was actually said, because EW. BUT, Clare did go swimming with him in the ocean in Vietnam, and by now we all now what swimming is code for right? NOT that I'm defending JP mind you. Absolutely not. What he said was incredibly disgusting and I would be livid if someone said that to me. Clare got over it pretty quickly though. All he had to do was put on the charm and she was putty in his hands again. Gross.

Nikki's date was less controversial. Not all that exciting actually. After the excitement with Clare none of us were all that interested in poor Nikki. Oh well. I do want to mention how much I love Juan Pablo's dad though. He is the sweetest! I guess the apple fell a little too far from the tree in this case.....

Time for the final rose ceremony. Again, Clare is up first. She starts in on this monologue about how she's fallen in love with him, and he just lets her talk! Why Juan Pablo? Why let her get all of that out just so you can tell her you have to let her go? And woah, Clare is NOT happy. JP tries to give her a goodbye hug but she is having none of it. She tells him off completely, and I kind of love her for it, because he was a total jerk. That being said, she did sign up to go on a show called the Bachelor, and compete with 25 women for just 1 man, so the odds weren't really in her favor. I hate when girls get mad at the end when they don't get picked. Have they never watched the show?

Nikki's next, and she's so excited and expecting a proposal (and wearing a dress with a super scandalous slit), and the fairytale romantic ending we've come to expect from Bachelor finales........does NOT happen! This was the most awkward finale I've ever seen. He tells her he has a ring in his pocket, but isn't going to use it because he's not 100% sure he wants to marry her, but he likes her a lot. Huh? I do applaud Juan Pablo for not proposing just for TV's sake, but I like you a lot? You couldn't do better than that buddy? Poor Nikki looks so disappointed, but of course ends up accepting his rose, and we're supposed to believe they're going to have their happily ever after. Wrong. This is all just so wrong. I mean, like I said earlier, painful to watch.  But then we have After The Final Rose to get answers to all our questions, right?

Wrong! Believe it or not, things got even weirder! I don't even know how to sum up the ATFR for you, because I really didn't understand what in the world I was watching. Clare came out in the beginning, and I respect her for not wanting to talk to Juan Pablo. She got the closure she needed apparently, and as much as I (and most of you too) disliked her this season, she almost won me over. Maybe if she wasn't constantly licking her lips it would be easier to like her, I don't know.

Nikki comes out and says she's still in love with JP, but when Chris Harrison asks her if she thinks JP loves her back, she can't answer the question, and strangely doesn't seem to mind. Hmm. Then Juan Pablo joins her onstage, and the real crazy begins. Chris asks JP himself if he loves Nikki, and he flat refuses to answer the question. He just talks in circles like he always does, and Nikki sits there cuddled up next to him and smiles, and it's just WEIRD. Let me also say, that I love Chris Harrison even more than I did before if that was possible. He handled the crazy very well, and was hilarious. You could so tell that JP was just over the show and being on TV and wanted no part of it anymore. But guess what? You knew what you were signing up for, so don't be mad now that you came off like a total douche.

Thank goodness this season is over. Worst Bachelor ever. Time to move on to the Bachelorette. I'm very excited that it's Andi, because she was definitely my favorite, as I've said in previous posts. And hey, no matter what she does she'll be better than Juan Pablo! Adios!

The Bachelor Week 6: New Zealand

After being slightly disappointed with this current season, last week’s episode gave me renewed hope and excitement to keep watching. Y’all, I really don’t know exactly what it is about Juan Pablo that just kind of turns me off. I can’t even believe I’m saying that! I was super excited about him being the new Bachelor, as was everyone else, right? But he really is a bit of a let down. Everything he says just sounds so insincere to me! Anyone else getting that vibe? I actually think that in real life he’s probably a good guy, but it just doesn’t translate to television. I couldn’t tell you why.  That being said, I’m glad the drama is back. I’ll still watch for the entertainment value, but JP is hard to take seriously. Anyway, that’s my rant. On to last night’s episode….

Can I just start off by commenting on how stinking gorgeous New Zealand is? Wow! It’s on my list of place to go one day. So idyllic and beautiful. And what a perfect setting for Andi to finally get her first one on one date! Seoul and Vietnam were great and all, but I’d take NZ any day! So, I loved Andi’s plaid shirt on her date with Juan Pablo. Super cute. They hop on a boat and speed off to who knows where, and all I can think is does she not have a hair elastic with her? I mean, she looks cool and all with her hair blowing behind her in the wind, but can you imagine what a tangled mess that was when they stopped? The things I think about. Weird, I know. Then they proceed to get into what looks like some seriously cold water, based on the fact that she had his coat and scarf on in the boat. So far this date is a stinker! JP takes her into these crazy narrow crevices that are so pretty, and she has no idea where they are going. Hubs thought maybe they were going to be dinosaurs on the other side? (Yes, I made hubs watch with me. Poor guy.) Anyway, they make it through the passageways without getting stuck, and then suddenly the date is awesome, because the light at the end of the tunnel is a warm waterfall! Totally worth the cold water to get there! Gorgeous! Then they had a total Tom Cruise/Elisabeth Shue Cocktail moment and made out in the waterfall, as (@Millsy11374 pointed out on twitter).

If you haven't  seen Cocktail, it's my FAVORITE 80s movie. Watch it. Side note: I love that Andi wore  a one piece bathing suit. She totally rocked it too.

The dinner part of their date was right next to a geyser, which conveniently went off for them. So cool. I still really like the two of them together. Great chemistry, and she's by far my favorite. They make out a little, and of course she gets the rose, which he pulls out of his coat. Cute.

While JP and Andi are on their date, the group date card shows up. Everyone’s name but Clare’s is on it, so she’s obviously getting the second one on one, and I’m sure the girls are just loving that. Oh well. On the group date the next day the go downhill in OGOs.

If you didn’t watch, OGOs are those giant inflatable balls where you get inside and roll down a hill. Screams motion sickness to me. Another stinker of a date. But then comes the dinner portion, and suddenly the date has totally redeemed itself! I’m going to out myself as a total dork right now, but if I got to go on a date to Hobbiton, I would totally “geek out” as Sharleen put it. I’m right there with you panda! I mean, how cool is that? By the way, I don’t think we’ve seen Sharleen this happy all season! Like, she was genuinely smiling!  Loved it!

So Juan Pablo has his time with most of the girls. Makes out with Rene,

makes out with Nikki,

can’t even say two words to Sharleen before he’s making out with her too.

Seriously, she tried to awkwardly converse with him per usual, but he didn’t even let her get a full sentence out I don’t think. She thinks this whole process is “inorganic”, and he’s all, “shut up, let’s make out.” He let’s Cassandra talk though. And talk, and talk, and talk. And he looks so bored and uninterested the whole time!

Terrible poker face JP. He should of just kissed her if he wanted to shut her up. Works on everyone else! So, Sharleen ends up getting the group date rose, and Cassandra gets the boot. ON Her BIRTHDAY! Not like we all didn’t see this one coming. He tells her he doesn’t want her to wait until the rose ceremony, because that’s two more days she would be away from her son. I think it was the right move to send her home, but I also think he probably could have done it in Vietnam. Oh well. She acts like it’s the end of the world, and she’s been waiting SOOOO long to find the right guy. Can someone please remind her that she’s only 22? Not even 22 for 24 whole hours yet! You have all the time in the world Cassandra. And did anyone else notice the seriously intense exit music? It was nice, but maybe a little over dramatic? Teensy bit?

Clare’s one on one date is next, and isn’t that what we’ve all been waiting to see? I know I was dying to see how this was going to play out. She’s going into in expecting an apology from Juan Pablo. She basically gets one. He tries to explain that he doesn’t kiss girlfriends in front of Camilla, or even hold hands. I guess television doesn’t count though? Hmm. Clare’s appeased, and they make out. Duh.
I’m still so annoyed by her. I did like the part of the date where they changed into sweats and just hung out. That would have been totally cute if it had been anyone but Clare. Of course she gets the rose, then they make out some more. Blah blah blah.
Cocktail party night, and Chris Harrison finally makes another appearance! Yay! Where have they been keeping him this season? I miss him! Glad he’s emerged to do the pre-rose ceremony guy talk session with Juan Pablo. The cocktail party ended up being super tense and uncomfortable. Nikki gets her one on one time, and they make out. Duh.

Oh yeah, and apparently JP wears pink underwear? Mmmkay. Good to know? Mama Rene gets her time as well, and they make out too.

I just love Rene. She’s so awesome. But I’ve said it before, she’s not going to end up with Juan Pablo. I hope she finds someone though. She really deserves too. The conversations with Chelsie and Kat were a little less, "romantic", shall we say? No kissing. But again, JP fails at hiding his lack of interest.  This is his "I'm totally listening to you and care about your feelings" face.

My prediction was that Kat would be the one going home this week, and I was right. Not as many tears were shed this week. From the girls and Juan Pablo I mean. There were plenty from Kat. Were they perhaps glad to see her go?

So, In summary, here are this week's make out stats. Juan Pablo made out with 5 out of 8 ladies, on 10 different occasions. Is this a new record? I hope someone can answer that question for me. I'm curious to know if another bachelor has topped that. And someone cover Camilla's eyes!

The scenes from next week look AWESOME! Can’t wait for some catfighting! Clare vs. Nikki……I feel like Nikki may take this one! I’m thinking there will be tears from Clare. We’ll see. And my guess is Chelsie will go home, and possibly Rene. Unless Sharleen decides to leave on her own, which is a very strong possibility.

What are your thought? Any predictions for next week in Miami?

Footnote: Why, oh why, was there a poo fight? Seriously, why? Unless you are a monkey, this is never, ever, EVER OK. Ever. Do Not Fling Poo. Gross.

Bachelor Week 5: Vietnam

I didn't post anything from last week's Seoul episode, because there really wasn't anything to say. I guess to sum it up, Kat and Clare annoyed me, Sharleen was awkward, and Kelly cracked me up. That's about it. Moving on to this week in Vietnam....

Vietnam is , like "nature" y'all. It's like water, and stuff. I can't even remember who said that. Oh well. It made me laugh. Anyway, the first one on one date goes to Rene, and it was extremely uneventful. So boring. And all I could think about the whole time was how hot and sweaty they looked and how that is SO not romantic. Being stinky on a first date is not cute, and couldn't they have gone to a restaurant with air conditioning for dinner? Rene didn't care. She REALLY wanted to kiss Juan Pablo, stink and all. Like, REALLY wanted a kiss. I got sick of hearing about it. But JP made up another random rule and decided it would be disrespectful or some other excuse and wouldn't do it. At this point he's pretty much made out with everyone right? So wanting to "take it slow" is pretty much the kiss of death, right? I really like Rene, but I just don't see this couple working out. Even though as JP put it, they're both 32, they're both parents, it's like their destined to be together! So she gets a rose. Sheesh. I give her 2 more weeks, tops.

The group date would have been just as boring, but Kelly was on it, so I didn't mind it. Love her. Clare apparently has no friends (Kelly's words, not mine), so ended up sharing this weird boat looking thing with Juan Pablo, and then they kissed in front of all the other girls. I guess last weeks kissing rule has been revoked? I'm so confused. But all the girls are upset that JP is spending so much of the group date with Clare, and who wouldn't be? He takes her back to his suite while the rest of them are just sitting there waiting? Rude. I guess he felt bad because then he made it up to them by making out with Sharleen (who wants to be a panda) and Andi. Clare gets the rose, and I'm super annoyed by her. Again. Ugh. I was rooting for Andi to get it. Oh well.

Now we get to the good stuff. After the date is over Clare decides to pull a Courtney Robertson and sneak off to Juan Pablo's room in the middle of the night. She apparently has never gone swimming in a warm ocean before and just HAS to mark it off of her bucket list this very night. We all know what "swimming" in the ocean really means, right?  JP was up for it. Gross. Way to whore it up on television Clare. Guess she forgot the cameras were there?

Nikki gets the second one on one, and it was actually a pretty cool date I thought. Rappelling into a cave would be little scary, but not as awful as bungee jumping off a bridge, and way more fun. Of course there was more kissing. Again, what happened to last week's rules? Whatever Juan Pabs. At dinner it felt like Nikki was trying to sell herself in a job interview. She seriously never stopped talking. But it worked, and she got a rose.

Finally at the cocktail party the drama I was waiting for kicked in! After finally kissing Rene, which she was SUPER excited about, because she REALLY wanted to kiss him, in case you forgot, JP decided to tell Clare their romp in the ocean was a mistake. Whoa, She is seriously pissed. He says something about wanting to set a better example for Camilla, and Clare looks totally shocked, like she forgot he had a daughter at home. Maybe you're not quite ready to be a step mom if what is basically a one night stand on national television for anyone to see seems appropriate for a parent. Just saying. But really, all snark aside, I feel bad for Clare. We should all go easy on her. She made a bad decision, and JP put it ALL on her. It takes two to tango buddy. It's kind of like he cheated on, like 10 girls. Whoever he ends up picking, if it's not Clare, is going to love finding out about this!

Somehow the rest of the girls have absolutely no idea what is going on, and it is the most awkward thing ever. Alli, Danni, and Kelly end up going home at the rose ceremony. Kelly? NOOOoooooo! Not Kelly! Last week she solidified her spot as my favorite of the season, she can't be gone already! There goes the comic relief. Unless you count watching Juan Pablo kiss Sharleen (panda?), but that's more gross than funny. And by the way, why was this such a super emotional rose ceremony so early in the season? Was it me, or was like, everyone crying last night? Weird. Overall, much more entertaining episode than last week.

Looking forward to the potential New Zealand drama in the next episode. Will Sharleen leave? Or Clare? And I'm pretty sure he's made out with everyone that's still around at this point. Anyway, I've liked Andi from the beginning, and now that Kelly is gone, she my new fav. Go Andi! Nikki's my number 2. And I'm so over Juan Pablo. That is all.

Bachelor Week 3: Snooze.

Was anyone else kind of bored during last night's episode of The Bachelor? I'll be honest, I was only halfway paying attention. I was more occupied doing my nails. Not really sure what it is about this season that just isn't grabbing me like most seasons do. Maybe it will pick up. We'll see. Of course I'll still watch. I still love the show, and Juan Pablo is some good eye candy. But I could use some more drama and (manufactured) romance.

So last night single mom Cassandra got the first one on one date. I can't even remember what they did, that's how uneventful it was to me. Oh wait! Water car! Where can I get one of those things? So cool. Otherwise, although she got a rose and she and Juan Pablo seemed to get along, I just don't see it. Cassandra is a super sweet girl, but she is super young too. She should probably go ahead and go back home to her son.

The group date was next, and of course there would be a soccer themed date this season. Was anyone surprised? I got the most entertainment from this portion of the episode. I hate to see people get hurt, but soccer balls to the face is kind of hilarious. Especially when it happens over and over to the same person. I did feel really bad for Sharleen watching her fall so many times, but I also REALLY enjoyed it. Sorry. She was a great sport about it though, so props to her for that. But again, the whole soccer game was kind of a blur. Still bored. I thought Juan Pablo had the best chemistry with Andi by far, and also got along well with Nikki. Not so much with Sharleen. That was the most awkward kiss ever. And gross. And no one wants to see that. Just....ew. How embarrassing. Moving on......

While most of the girls were getting pelted with balls, Elise and Chelsie were not so patiently waiting to see which of them would get the next one on one date. I decided I really liked Elise last week, and still do, but there was a little bit of overconfidence there, no? She was way critical of Chelsie, who ended up getting the date card. If I were Elise I would be thrilled I didn't get it though, because bungee jumping? No way! I don't blame Chelsie for not wanting to do it. There is no way I would! JP was cool about the situation. I hate these "adventure" dates where they make people jump off of buildings and stuff. I'm not jumping off a building, bridge, or any other structure for anyone. But Chelsie went for it, and got a rose, so good for her.

I thought it was super funny that JP showed up to make breakfast and catch the girls with no makeup. Morning breath and puffy eyes are just not cute, but they made it work. At the pool party all the girls were annoyed with Kat, and I admit I was too. She did try a little too hard. But they are all competing for one guy, so what do these girls expect? Clare came down with a classic case of first date syndrome and Mama Renee came to the rescue. Not that exciting. But I like Renee. She's nice. Sharleen also broke down and cried to Juan Pablo, which I didn't expect. At least they covered up their sloppy kissing this time.

At the rose ceremony Lucy and some blonde girl I didn't even recognize went home. Again, boring. "Free spirit" Lucy was really growing on me. Oh well. Hopefully next week will bring something more exciting than Sharleen singing opera. Adios!

My Week 2 Bachelor HIghlights. Bring on the Crazy!

The hubs is definitely NOT into watching the Bachelor with me, or discussing it at length during and afterward, so I decided to do another highlight post on the blog so I could express my thoughts without eye rolling! :) If you saw all the, like gazillion promos leading up to last night's episode, than you were just as excited as I was to see a classic Bachelor style meltdown! I was not disappointed! But let's start from the beginning.

Because of Sunday night's behind the scenes special, they just jumped right in last night and wasted not time getting to the first one on one date, which went to Clare. I really liked her from the first episode, and she was in my top four picks! I thought she and Juan Pablo were cute on their Winter Wonderland date. They seemed to have decent chemistry. But there wasn't a whole lot of substance! Sure, she talked opened up and talked about her dad, but then it was just hey, let's go make out in a hot tub, and suddenly she's crazy about him. Really?

Kat got the second one on one. Another one of my top 4 picks! She's adorable, and they seemed to get along great. Very natural. It was a fun, casual date, and she just went with the flow and had fun. Again, no substance, but the date was not as serious and "romantic" as Clare's. Kind of uneventful. But sign me up the next Electric Run! Looks like a blast!

Group dates to me are always WAY more entertaining than the one on ones. There's always drama, and let's face it, that's really what we tune in for. The group date last night had it's share of drama for sure! The first half of the date was cute with everyone participating in a photo shoot for charity.

I could not believe what a trooper Kelly was to let them put a bald cap on her an paint her from head to toe. She looked full on ridiculous, and just went with it! Way to go girl! I would have been completely mortified, so she gets points from me for that one! I really felt for Andi and Elise. I don't blame either one of them for not wanting to pose nude (or mostly nude). Not a cool situation to be in. Points to Lucy for trading with Elise and giving her the fire hydrant costume, not that she minded getting the extra attention! Probably not good on the job front for a first grade teacher to be posing nude on television! Elise made the right decision and after this episode she's at the top of my list. So sweet and adorable! I don't think she'll make it to the end, but I'm rooting for her anyway! I have a new personal fav! And I also want to say, Andi had a hard decision to make as well. After talking to JP she decided to go ahead and go through with it, but that couldn't have been easy. I'm sure she didn't want to come across as unprofessional on TV.  But she ended up looking gorgeous, and somehow managed to not seem whiny and annoying when she was talking to Juan Pablo about her concerns. They have great chemistry and you can tell he really likes her. I still like her a lot. If she isn't the last one standing, maybe the next Bachelorette?

At the cocktail party afterwards Nikki's one on one time stood out (another one of my top 4 picks!). Other than Victoria interrupting it seemed like it went great! They're cute together, and Juan Pablo seems to look at her differently than the other girls. She might be my new front runner! And I give JP props for giving Kelly the rose. She totally deserved it. No one else had to spend the day covered in ugly brown paint.

Alright, can we talk about Victoria now?

Oh. My. Gosh. What in the world was that? There have been some pretty epic meltdowns in Bachelor history, but I just did not understand where this one came from! Other than she is just a TERRIBLE drunk! Why was she so mad at Juan Pablo? I was seriously confused. Nikki saw it coming and tried to get her to calm down before it began, but she obviously didn't listen. Sloppy drunk is not cute on anyone. Never. It's just gross, and annoying. Kudos to JP for giving her the boot the next day before the rose ceremony. I don't think anyone will miss her.

The rose ceremony was pretty uneventful. Sharleen was a little bit less awkward than last week, and thank goodness she apologized for her hesitation accepting the first impression rose. I really don't know how to feel about her. Guess we'll have to see how things play out. I thought maybe Cassandra was going to go home after her little crying session, but Juan Pablo is just so nice, he didn't hold it against her. I don't see him letting anyone go easily though. Amy sealed her fate with that little interview session, which was kind of painful to watch, and didn't get a rose, along with Chantal, who didn't get a lot of screen time, but seemed pretty normal.

Despite the Victoria meltdown, it was kind of an uneventful episode I thought. No profound observations or predictions on my end, just my thoughts. Looking forward to more romance and drama in the weeks to come! What did y'all think about last night's episode? Who's going to go home next week?
