Summer Scarves

Scarves are one of my absolute favorite accessories, and they're not just for winter! Granted, living in Las Vegas where it gets up to 115 degrees in the summer it can be a hard trend to wear, but on vacation in Colorado it's much more comfortable. This floral scarf is one of my favorites.

Lightweight fabrics, colorful and floral patterns, there's lots of options to keep your scarf game strong during the warmer months. I started my online search on Target's website, and guess what? I didn't make it any farther! Target is my favorite place to pick up fun little pieces here and there, and you cannot beat the prices. So many cute scarves....it was really hard to narrow it down to just a few favorites. Here are some of the options I've got my eye on!

Dreaming in Spring Pastels

I love where I live. I've been seeing everyone all over the country posting pictures and status updates of the snow and ice, and not envying them the slightest bit. This is what my car said yesterday:

Granted, it was probably more like 78 or 79 degrees outside. It was a teensy bit warmer in the car. But this weather in the middle of February? I'll take it! I hate to rub it in to all of you shivering in your scarves and mittens out there, but I'm loving this Vegas weather! If it makes you feel any better, in a few short months when it's 120 here and I'm hibernating in a dark, air conditioned house, you may gloat all you want. But for now, my mind is on spring, so I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite wearable trends for the coming season: Pastels!

I love my pastels! This is a no brainer for spring. My favorites are mint green, baby blue, and of course pink. The great thing about this trend is that you can incorporate it into your wardrobe so easily. It works in a great pair of skinnies, a cute blouse, dress, or accessory. Anything goes! Because I tend to lean towards neutrals, I usually like to use color in a statement necklace, handbag, or scarf, but I do love a pastel skinny jean! My First Craft Fair!

It's been a while since I've posted anything! This past Friday I had my first Belle & Grace vendor booth at Mason's school's Harvest Festival. Preparing for it kept me BUSY for the couple of weeks leading up to it and basically took over all of my free time! Plus we had a bit of a health scare with Eric (everything's OK - long story).

 

Anyway, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect for the Festival, so I wanted to be ready for anything. Overall I think it went well! Sold more than I expected to, handed out quite a few business cards, and mostly got to chat with friends and meet lots of new people while Mason played. BIG thanks to my sweet husband Eric who helped me get everything ready and kept me company while I worked, and to him and Mason for putting up with me. I MAY have been a TEENSY bit stressed out the day of.  Here's what the prep looked like in my dining room.

My camera has been stuck on some weird setting lately, so unfortunately pretty much none of my photos from the event turned out. Boo. Here's the best of the bunch. Wish it wasn't so blurry. Oh well.
